Château La Tour Carnet White 2019
AOC Bordeaux Blanc
"Blanc 2019 opens with bewitching scents of honeysuckle, pink grapefruit and tangerine peel with notes of chalk dust and lightly toasted bread. Medium-bodied, the palate presents a lively line of freshness through layers of intense citrus, finishing pleasantly chalky."

For white wines from the Haut-Médoc region, the 2019 vintage was characterized by favorable weather conditions, offering exceptional potential for the production of quality white wines. Winter was relatively mild, favoring early budburst of white vines and homogeneous flowering.
In spring, warm, dry weather favored vigorous vine growth, with early and promising flowering. However, despite these favorable conditions, the region had to contend with a few bouts of early frost, causing localized damage in some plots and slightly impacting the quantity of the harvest.
During the summer, the region enjoyed sunny days and moderate temperatures, creating optimal conditions for slow, complete ripening of the white grapes. The cool nights helped maintain a balanced natural acidity in the berries, adding freshness and vivacity to the white wines.
Overall, the 2019 vintage for Haut-Médoc white wines is distinguished by wines of great finesse and beautiful aromatic expression. Despite the weather challenges, the winemakers demonstrated their expertise and commitment to quality, producing elegant, well-balanced white wines that reflect the character unique of the Haut-Médoc terroir.
