Enjoy a pastoral, bucolic stay at Château Fombrauge.
The ancient chartreuse, through its religious past, has kept something of a sacred feel. Built according to a regular, carefully-measured design, Château Fombrauge and its vineyard date back to the 16th century.
Perfectly straight rows of vines stretch out to infinity, like the strings of a musical instrument patiently awaiting the vibrations of the vigneron’s hand.
From this collaboration between man and nature, one of the oldest Saint-Emilion Grands Crus continues to offer us a taste of its ancestral past: Château Fombrauge.

The Cadran
suite
This authentic suite possesses an air of eternity and has kept all the charm of a bygone era.
The room features a varnished, wooden parquet floor, a centuries-old four-poster bed, and dark-coloured chairs and chests of drawers dating back to the era when the first owners of the estate lived there.
This fine, majestic suite is clad in purple and crimson fabrics and features Toiles de Jouy depicting bucolic scenes to remind us of the château’s history.
The Promesse
suite
Prestigious and very attractive, this suite offers a floral décor and has kept all the charm of the Louis XV period. It features a bronze chandelier and a bergère armchair typical of the furniture of the time.
The Promesse suite’s delicate bed-crown canopy evokes the original period of the Château.
A pink marble fireplace merges with the springtime touches that are bathed in sunshine. The poetry continues in the small sitting room that leads on from the bedroom.
